Death of a Tree

I recently spent a nice morning walking through the trees in a tropical garden. Huge ficus giving shade, enjoying the beauty of the bright trunks of the Rainbow eucalyptus and the long braids of the cook pine. Along the way I found a tree less attractive to most visitors. What happened to this tree ? I was unable to find answers but spent some time investigating it's texture, it's broken structure and the slow creep of it's remaining sap as it quietly dies, forgotten and unappreciated.Lesson's in life. There is beauty to everything, even when, at first glance you see only ugly, odd or unacceptable . Just take a moment, step closer, appreciate that even in decay there is something beautiful to the process.
