There are many great opportunities to visit with the turtles on the Big Island of Hawaii. These three were fast asleep and just as I prepared for the shot that grumpy one in the middle raised its head and looked right at the camera. Remember, the turtles are protected, read the signs and stay back from them, use a long lens for your camera. Turtles can be aggressive if they feel threatened.
